Garland Project Updates

  • Several proposals were reviewed. On January 18, 2007, a consultant was chosen, Stephen Emerson with Archisto Enterprises of Spokane.

  • Consultant Stephen Emerson reported in the March 2007 Office Update that he attended a Garland Merchants Association meeting and discussed the survey project with neighborhGarland Theater (courtesy of the Museum of Arts & Culture L87-1.45864-45)ood business members. Most of the research for the project has been completed, including searches of the Spokane County Assessor’s records. The physical survey has already begun and several inventory forms have already been completed.

  • The first draft ofMilk Bottle (courtesy of the Museum of Arts & Culture L87-1.5651-35) the Garland Business District Survey was submitted to HPO on April 16, 2007. Consultant Stephen Emerson will meet with the neighborhood merchants association to go over the draft in the coming weeks. The final report and historic study is due in June.
