Statement of Significance

The Alonzo and Louise Barnett House is significant as an excellent example of the Free Classic Queen Anne Style of architecture.  It was designed by Spokane architect Arthur E. Saunders and built in the Mountain View Addition in 1903.  Barnett was the owner of the A. A. Barnett Co., which specialized in loans and real estate investments.  The home retains a high degree of integrity.
