| STATEMENT
OF SIGNIFICANCE |
| The Weaver House is architecturally
significant as an excellent example of the Craftsman style of
architecture and as the work of prominent Spokane architect Alfred
Jones. The home was built in 1910 for Lawrence Weaver, a
successful investor with ranching and fruit orchard interests in the Wenatchee
Valley, and his wife Lydia. The couple remained in the home, where
they raised a family of six, for over 60 years. It retains a high
degree of its historic character and integrity. |
