| STATEMENT
OF SIGNIFICANCE |
| The W.P. Fuller & Company warehouse
is significant as a contributing property in the Desmet Warehouse
National Historic District located on the northeast fringe of downtown
Spokane. This particular warehouse was the local
property most closely associated with the large West Coast company, W.
P. Fuller & Co., specializing in paints, oils, and other finishes. Additionally, this building is one of the earliest
examples of fireproof, steel reinforced concrete construction to be
erected in Spokane. |
