STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Cowley Park is named for Henry T. Cowley, an early Spokane pioneer and missionary to the Spokane Indians who arrived in the area in 1874.  The two-acre park marks the site of Cowley’s home, schoolhouse, and mission.
