OF SIGNIFICANCE |
This house was designed by architect J.K. Dow in 1906 for Spokane financier Alfred Coolidge. Henry Rising, who purchased the house in 1924, was the long-time editor of the
Spokane Daily Chronicle and president of its parent publishing
company.
Architect John K. Dow practiced in Spokane for nearly fifty years, beginning in 1889. His designs include such National Register properties as the
Hutton Building, Westminster Congregational Church, and the
Empire State Building. |
