History:
This
home was built by James Franklin, a carpenter, and his wife Sarah F.
in 1904. The Franklins owned the house directly to the south on the
same lot at 2428 W. College and constructed this home for their son
William, a bookbinder, and daughter-in-law Maude. William and Maude
owned the home through 1944, selling to Joseph L. Fulbright, a
driver for Barstone Fuel Co. at 2255 W. Broadway, and his wife in
1945. Joseph passed away around 1970, leaving the home to his widow
Eldean Fulbright and son Dale who was in the U.S. Coast Guard. The
Fulbrights sold the home to Larry Clawson, a painter, in 1976.
